Connect Google Calendar
For Admin, Instructor, Student
Connect Google Calendar and your upcoming Sky Schedule reservations are added to your primary Google calendar. Each person connects their own Google account, so instructors see their flights and customers see theirs.
Sync goes one way: Sky Schedule adds events to Google. Events you create in Google don't block time in Sky Schedule.
Connect as an instructor or customer
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Profile.
- In Calendar Integration, click Connect next to Google Calendar.
- Sign in to Google and allow calendar access.
- You're sent back to Sky Schedule, and your upcoming reservations are added to your calendar.
To update your calendar later, click Sync.
Connect as an admin
- Open Settings > Integrations.
- Click Connect on Google Calendar (or Learn More > Connect Google Calendar).
- Sign in to Google and allow calendar access.
Admins get every school reservation on their calendar, not just their own.
What syncs
- Upcoming reservations from today forward.
- Each event shows the activity, customer, and aircraft tail number, with the instructor and aircraft in the details.
- When you create or edit a reservation yourself, it's added to your own calendar right away. Reservations other people book for you show up the next time you click Sync.
Add a single flight instead
If you'd rather not connect, open a reservation and use Add to Calendar. Choose your preferred calendar under Settings > Integrations > Calendar Export (or Profile > Calendar Integration for instructors and customers): Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. Apple and Outlook download an .ics file. Reservation emails also include Google, Apple, and Outlook buttons.
Disconnect
In Profile > Calendar Integration, click Disconnect. Events already on your calendar stay there. Delete them in Google if you don't want them.
Troubleshooting
- A canceled flight is still on my calendar. Sky Schedule doesn't remove events from Google. Delete the event in Google Calendar.
- "Google did not grant calendar access." Click Reconnect and allow calendar permissions on Google's screen.
- "Sync failed" or "Reconnect needed." Click Reconnect, sign in again, then click Sync.
- A new flight is missing. Click Sync to pull in reservations someone else booked for you.
