API Changelog

The Sky Schedule API changelog lists dated changes to the REST API v1 and the MCP server, including new endpoints, new agent tools, and changes to daily limits.

This API changelog lists changes to the Sky Schedule REST API (v1) and the MCP server, newest first. The REST API is versioned in its path (/api/v1). The MCP server reports its version, currently 2.0.0, when a client connects.

October 5, 2026

  • MCP: Tools that take a record id now require the full UUID. A partial id is refused up front with Use the full id (a UUID) from a list or search result. instead of a not-found or database error.

  • MCP: The daily write limit rose from 25 to 200 write tool calls per school per UTC day.

September 16, 2026

  • REST: New read-only maintenance endpoints: /work-orders, /squawks, /inspections, /reminders, and /inventory.
  • REST: New reservation comments endpoint: /comments, with an optional reservationId filter.
  • MCP: New read tools list_squawks, list_inspections, list_inventory, list_reminders, and list_reservation_comments.
  • MCP: The server now publishes protected resource metadata at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource, so clients such as Claude use the bearer header instead of starting an OAuth sign-in.

August 12, 2026

  • MCP: Launched the hosted MCP server at https://app.skyschedule.io/api/mcp for Claude, Cursor, Grok, and other MCP clients, using the same school API key as REST.
  • MCP: Read tools for reservations, completed flights, customers, instructors, aircraft, CRM leads, reports, work orders, and Team Chat channels.
  • MCP: Write tools to create, update, cancel, and void reservations, complete flights, update Hobbs, add aircraft documents and fuel reimbursements, add lead notes, email leads, run reports, create work orders, draft invoices, and post to Team Chat.
  • MCP: Limits of 1,000 requests and 25 write tool calls per school per UTC day, separate from REST.

July 23, 2026

  • REST: Launched the Sky Schedule REST API v1, read only, with /reservations, /flights, /customers, and /instructors, each with a get-by-id route.
  • REST: API keys created by school admins, sent as Authorization: Bearer or X-SkySchedule-API-Key.
  • REST: 100 requests per school per UTC day, with a default page size of 50 and a maximum of 100.
