A Platinum Cirrus Training Center Under One Roof in Van Nuys

Mach 1 Aviation is a Platinum Cirrus Training Center at Van Nuys Airport (KVNY), training pilots in the Cirrus SR20 and SR22T. Scheduling, billing, the maintenance record, and the team's conversations all live in Sky Schedule now, so the school runs from one system instead of several.

Cirrus-standard training at Van Nuys

Mach 1 describes itself as the first Platinum Cirrus Training Center in Los Angeles, and it builds everything around the Cirrus way of flying, with safety and precision at the center. The line includes SR20s from the G3 and G7 generations and a turbocharged SR22T.

The training menu covers Private Pilot, Instrument, and Commercial, plus instructor ratings (CFI, CFII, and MEI) and transition training across the Cirrus lineup. New flyers can start with a discovery flight in an SR20 that includes a briefing before and a debrief after. The school also offers destination flights to Big Bear, Catalina, Camarillo, and Half Moon Bay, and it is open every day of the week. Students sign in to Sky Schedule straight from Mach 1's website.

A lot to keep in step

An organization this size has a lot to keep in sync: staff, students, renters, invoices, the future schedule, and the inspection history for every airplane. When those pieces sit in different places, the front office spends its day moving information between them instead of helping the people who fly.

Moving without starting over

When Mach 1 moved to Sky Schedule, its people came across with their history: previous invoices, the future schedule, and past inspections. The school did not have to rebuild its books, its calendar, or its maintenance record to go live. Bookings that were already on the calendar stayed on the calendar. How the school runs now

Billing next to the flight

Billing runs in Sky Schedule too. Hobbs and tach readings entered when a flight is completed update the aircraft's times, and invoices sit with the flights they cover, so the office is not reconciling two systems to answer a billing question. More on that on our billing page.

A team that works from anywhere

The staff coordinate in Sky Schedule's built-in team chat, and much of the team works from the Sky Schedule OS app on their phones, where they can see the schedule, check flights out, and handle squawks without walking back to a desk.

AI that can take actions

Mach 1 also connects Claude to Sky Schedule through MCP. Staff can look up the day's reservations, check on an aircraft, or draft an invoice for a flight in plain language, and every action is recorded in an audit log. The point is less clicking through screens for work the team already knows needs doing.

What's different

The school's history came over intact, so nobody had to rebuild the books or the inspection record. Scheduling, billing, and maintenance sit in one system, and the people who fly and dispatch see changes without waiting to sit down at a computer.
